Competition
The competition sub-team is about the game itself. The members work hard to understand the rules of the competition, and to help come up with possible strategies. Without full understanding of the game, or basic strategies to start with, it is impossible to succeed. Also, a major part of this sub-team is safety. If our team does not follow safe behaviours, then it could lead to injuries. That is where the competition sub-team comes in. They assist by making sure that people have their proper safety gear on, and aren’t fooling around with dangerous equipment. Plus, it is these people who work on driving the robot, and scouting. The drivers of the team are very important, for without them, the robot would be a lifeless pile of metal out in the middle of the field. The robot needs to be able to be driven, and driven properly, in order for a competition to go successfully. The drivers are the key to having a great competition. Scouts, too, help out greatly. They are the eyes and ears of the team. The scouts go and find information about other teams that could be of benefit to our alliance. But the competition sub-team isn’t just about scouting and driving. It is also about team spirit. It is exactly this that keeps the team upbeat and excited. Without team spirit, there is no team. The competition sub-team plays a major role by helping showing team 2016 pride where ever we go. These people are the backbone to the team; they give us what we need to succeed at competition.
